New business idea: Where to start?

If you were like me, I knew a few basic things about starting a business but not nearly enough for me to take the plunge. So, I invested my time and effort into reading and talking to people that had there own business. I borrowed all kinds of how-to books on starting a business from the library. That helped me to plan.

I knew I wanted to start a home-based business, so I even read up on the pros and cons of that. Luckily, I am in a county where the library system is very good. They have books, magazines, DVDs and also online & downloadable books.

Some of the books I would recommend reading as a starting point are:
